I'm going to make this post short and sweet.

At 8am this morning I received the news that an old friend from high school had past away early this morning. If you live in the Austin area and have turned on any radio or news station, you have probably heard of the Avery Ranch shooting.

Rico was a very close friend of mine during my senior year in high school and following that summer. He was such a kind heart which makes his death so tragic. He was hilarious and I will never forget that about him. For some reason I always figured I would run into him again one day and I think that is what is the hardest part about this....the permanence of death.

Here are some old pictures from the good times:

Please pray for his family, one can only imagine what they are going through. May his sweet soul rest in peace.

“They that love beyond the world cannot be separated by it. Death cannot kill what never dies.” ~ Williams Penn
